    What is eating my strawberries?

    My strawberries keep going missing

    I see one that is half red and then when I come the next day its vanished, no trace at all, not even any sign of the calyx left

    What is the cuplrit and what can I do?

      Would agree that it's birds...the blackbirds stole mine a couple of seasons ago. I've now got more plants and they are not, I repeat are not getting anywhere near them this time!!

        Its birds. Stood looking kut the window yesterday morning at my first strawberry just turni g red.
        Along came two blackbirds and they fought for it. In a minute it was gone.

          I was out raking over a border yesterday when a blackbird came flying over from a neighbour's garden with a strawberry in it's beak. Caught in the act!

            I saw a rat with the biggest strawberry in it's mouth but I also saw a neighbour stick one in her mouth..

              I am lucky with the birds at the moment as I have put them in the path of where my two cats walk all the time. My problem of disappearing strawberries is my son's girlfriend!!!
