  • Rip it up and start again

Flower bed in a (sun trap) court yard. When is the best time to rip it up and start again? It did have a tree in the left corner. It fell over last year. This now looks a bit silly with big things at the front and nothing at the back and a very leggy fuchsia slapped bang in the middle. So most things are going, but the geranium johnsons blue is staying. If I collect seeds from this will it come true or will they cross pollinate ? (no other geranium varieties in the court yard).

Dig up the geranium with a BIG root ball & grow it in a pot/trug, similar for any others that need to be replanted, set the geranium in the new position in the spring while it's dormant, at which time it can be split into smaller clumps
