That's pulmonaria, Garvey, common name lungwort. Bumble bees love its flowers.Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land

I find the origins of plant names fascinating - and I'm writing from memory without checking - so may have it wrong.
The old physicians thought that the leaves look like diseased lungs - so they used it to treat lung diseases, hence the name Lungwort and the Latin "Pulmonaria " which we still find in Pulmonary diseases.Comment

I love to grow flowers which attract bees and I've got three clumps of pulmonaria which have been an absolute magnet to them these past few weeks. Definitely a plant I always like to have around
