What is this pest on my Sunflowers? Pics

some kind of leaf minor.
They live not so much under the leaf as inside it, burrowing about and leaving unsightly trails.
Yours seem to be doing a lot of damage...I always think before saying this (and please forgive me KoA) but them bugs need to be squished!

Well, that is kind of the point of marigolds (and nasturtiums etc) to lure pests away from veggies and prize blooms!

So I'd call that a success, squish the beasties, marigolds and sunflowers will bounce back, the veg is unscathed....all in all a job well done!
