  • What`s this then?

    Hi all, I came across this lovely plant whilst visiting Kentwell Hall (Long Melford) and was wondering what it might be called? any ideas? Thank you in advance.

            South facing, and getting baked at the bottom of the hedge seems to suit it
            Don't let weeds grow over it, or it won't flower as well

                Thelma is spot on. A gorgeous border line hardy gladiolus from the med. Trying to get hold of this beauty is like mission impossible. Its apparently not commercially grown.

                  Sarah Raven sells them, but they are Autumn planting, so have a look later in the year.......

                    I bought some from Crocus and also the posh Broadleigh bulbs and when they finally flowered none of them were as your photo shows. They were weedy and a wishy washy deep pink
