I LOVE spiralized courgettes - apparantly the 'trend' this year is to spiralise broccoli stalks. One to try!

Spiralised broccoli stalks? Never heard of that. I'd get a spiraliser if I thought I could do anything with it but courgettes. This might make a good thread, come to think of it.

        Spiralising things other than courgettes

Mrs T has started a thread on spiralised courgettes and curry. Sounds delicious and I'd get a spiraliser except... seems like a lot of gadget to store just for courgettes.

What else have you spiralised? And what was most successful or a disaster?

I just need to be persuaded...

I have seen butternut squash done. Maybe carrots would work too? Debating on getting one myself too...

Mines only a little one that you hold in your hand, courgettes was the only thing I could do in it.evey thing else was to hard.

Good point, Ms-T. Maybe we need to add: any recommendations for a sturdy/capable spiraliser?

I use mine for spiralised carrot and beetroot in salads too - and spiralised cucumber for pickles

I didn't have a clue what a spiralizer was but Goggle found me The best spiralizers, tried and tested
I have too many unused gadgets already - and I think this one would soon be in the back of the cupboard too.

I'm thinking of buying one so I'd like some recommendations please. they do seem to vary in price.

Ooh! I have a wonderful recipe for spiralised veggies!

(I don't actually have a spiraliser though....I do mine as straight ribbons with a veg peeler)

This recipe is delicious...I use less sugar though as this comes out far too sweet for me

I've put a lovely (tried and tested by me...many many times) recipe on the other thread that spiralises all sorts of veg..

The last one on that list looks great VC but at 36 quid I'll be sticking with my veggie peeler ribbons a while longer!
