  • Hello from the wild and windy Ards Peninsula coast

Hello everyone. I have a large garden (just under an acre) and try (operative word being try) to grow a variety of vegetables, my favourites being tomatoes, cucumbers and broad beans. My OH has chickens and ducks so we get lots of eggs and I get the chicken droppings to use as compost. There are also lots of trees and shrubs in the garden so we are kept busy.

My other interests are nature, walking, reading and crafts (mainly crochet). Not so keen on cooking but do like eating especially stuff fresh out of the garden.

I look forward to meeting more of you.

PS - some of you newbies will know me as Springlands/Springy

                          Good questions SusieG.

The Ards Peninsula is in County Down in Northern Ireland. It is a long, narrow area of land that separates Strangford Lough from the North Channel/Irish Sea. Lots of natural beauty.

I live on the seaward side at one of the most easterly points and we are open to strong, easterly winds but I love it.
