So, just a few more hours digging this over, getting rid of stones etc then hopefully (!) shall be able to start some serious veggie growing!

Need to put path network into the plan, so I'm not treading on the soil. Need to get some membrane for the paths. I have some stones to lay for the paths. Also need to get some sort of edging, I think to keep it all from spilling onto paths ...

    So before:
    And today :

        Thank you Lumpy!
It doesn't really look much from the pics, but it has been really hard going!

Well done to you Susie. Takes a lot of hard work but so well worth it.

And when your back stops aching,

You will find yourself a partner,

That's brilliant. I love the before and after photos which shows how hard you've worked
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Pat on the back from me also!

Really don't think people appreciate how much hard work goes into a plot!

Well done you! And you will definatley reep the rewards later in the year!

Looks fantastic! And as one who spent bits of February and March digging a whole bed I can wholly sympathise with the hard work statement It's worth it when it's done and you can start the fun bit

Do you keep looking at that bare patch of newly-dug soil with satisfaction at a job well done and think ''Yeah, I did that!'' I know I did when I'd finished mine!
