Need something to hold a big hanging basket, any ideas?

    Need something to hold a big hanging basket, any ideas?

    Anyone got any ideas on what I could use and would look decent to hold a very large hanging basket?

    We sell chains but I dont think the ones we have woud hold the weight

    If it's that big then I might consider a stand for it instead of hanging. My first thought was an old tall chimney ( see them on eebay & gummy trees quite often, maybe even free cycle type things).

      I was thinking along those lines myself SP.

      One of my friends...who doesn't like gardening buys small hanging baskets and plonks them inside pots. Instant gardening...and very pretty!

          Has the hanging basket got chains on it and you want to hang those from something? or is just a big basket?

            Photos would help. I know ive got two huge hanging baskets, the local councils have sipper huge ones...it isn't the chains that I have problems with. The fixing brackets on the hook thing keeps working itself away from the wall.

              Its approx 46 inches all the way round the rim.

                At 46 inches circumference it would be about 15" dia. So ordinary chains will do the job, just make sure when you fix the wall bracket you use the right size drill, plugs and screws otherwise the movement of the basket can work the screws loose.
