  • Recommend a dwarf french bean

I usually grow the climbing french bean Cobra.
Anyone recommend a dwarf variety string less and pencil podded.
Possible to grow under a tunnel, or outside.
    Thanks
    Jimmy

I like Purple Teepee - a good old fashioned variety. The purple colour disappears when cooked unfortunately but they do taste nice.

I also grow Purple Teepee but last year had a go at Duel. Really skinny beans that grow above the foliage so they are very easy to pick. And yes more will be going in this years as they taste good raw and cooked.

I've been pleased with the variety "Faraday". For the last couple of years I have made two sowings. One late April or early May and then another in early July. These later ones crop into September when the earlier sowings are beginning to fade.
