  • Blow away greenhouse advice

    Hi guys,

    I have just bought a blow away greenhouse 3 x 2.
I was thinking of making a small veg plot say about 10 x 3.
The fact that this is a blow away do you think it is a good idea,or should I just go with grow
    Bags and containers.

    Thanks

If you can anchor it down it will be great. I had culticaves for a couple of seasons, and they worked really well. I used bricks & growbags as well as tent pegs & guy ropes to keep it in place.

Tie it down well and when you think you have done enough do................some more.

Well secured they will last two or three seasons and as you are up north will help with your toms etc.

It's a good idea! Better for peppers in that environment,If you have a few French marigolds in there,it should keep the whitefly away too. The blowaways are good for greenhouse cucumbers, the shading of the cover helps crops stay out of direct sunlight,it can get very hot in there in the summer i leave one zip open sometimes but it's nice when it's raining, you can go in there for shelter & carry on potting.

Mines on its third year, had no problems with it whatsoever. Ive cable-tied the shelves to the poles, and i think this helps with rigidity.

What you could do is get some s shape hooks, hook it to your top bar, fasten string (the strong stuff) around the hooks and then have it attached to what ever is weighing your gh down I used slabs for that bit. I had a blow away for a while they can be frustrating.

              Good luck
