  • Somebody must know what they are!

    Hiya.
I got these in a seed mix three years ago. Have collected seeds since.
I have no idea what they are!
    I have looked under:
    Pale blue flowers
Pale lilac flowers (even though they are blue!)
    Wildflower mix
    Annual flower mix
    Meadow flower mix
    Annual flowers
    Annual uk flowers
    Wild flowers
    Meadow flowers
    UK flowers
Flowers are just about the size of a penny.
The seeds are pale shiny and beige. The seed head is round and the seeds neatly organised inside, about six in all.
    Please help!
    Also this picture is sideways!

Ooh that's close but no. It's not a geranium meadow cranesbill either. So frustrating!

Is it flax of some sort? Search under "Linum".

                OK Scarlet, it's alpine phlox

Buy Alpine Phlox plants, ideal planted on a rock garden or rockery and grow well in containers.

MH! You know I Love you to bits! But inclined to disagree! I have em growing at the side of the greenhouse! And can't for the life in me remember what they are! I may eat "Humble Pie" but maybe tomorrow, a little time to investigate! All will come clear! OR NOT!

How tall is it? How many petals to each flower? The photo is too pixelated when I enlarge it to tell.

There are quite a few different ones. I've grown one called "Blue Dress" which is a very pretty blue.

Oh I love it. My OH does too, and he never notices flowers at all. Last year he mentioned what a lovely pretty flower it was, a big deal that he noticed it! Glad I've collected seeds again for it. I'm now wondering if I get some flax seeds from a health shop if they'll grow?!

Someone once gave me flax seeds probably from a health shop and they grew fine. Small plants about 20 cms high with lovely blue flowers so they should grow OK .
