I do not subscribe to the view that fleece or environmesh are suitable for guarding fruit trees against birds.

A post I made in this thread http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...ngs_87552.html was edited before being used in the February edition of GYO and the word "trees" was added. A small addition but since I am of the view that Fleece and environmesh are wholly unsuitable I'm making that clear.

In my original post I referred to netting fruit and I stand by that. Mesh/fleece would blow away.

I know there is a warning that anything used in the magazine may be edited and of course I accept that but in this instance, Something has been added that I disagree with and I wish to make that clear.

Thanks for pointing that out, Ap.
We'll bring this to the attention of Admin.

No need VC but thanks. I just don't want anyone who uses the forum and normally respects my opinion to think I would have that view.

Well, what's done is done . I know the editorial/journalist staff have a difficult enough job without old gits like me complaining and I really don't want to make anyone's job any harder. It may however highlight that even small additions or changes can have bigger implications and that can't be a bad thing.

Nobody is immune from the "pointy stick" AP

Mod's letting Admin know things is just as right & proper as you letting the rest of the members know that it was an editorial error, it is all pertanent bud.

Editing someones post can have enormous repercussions. I posted something on our local town site and the editors, in their infinite wisdom, decided to change the wording. I had very carefully worded my post to be non inflammatory, the new wording changed the circumstances drastically and nearly got me chucked off our Town Council. I now have a fairly influential lady who will never speak to me again, and the only way I got to retain my seat was by having it confirmed by the editor that she had changed my wording.

What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?
                Pumpkin pi.
