Lots of tidy threads to start the year. I like tidy, although not in the garden

Me again - hope I'm not the only happy one.

Anyway. Rain. A dirty word for far too many at the moment, I know, but we have been suffering from a serious drought since June with our local reservoirs are largely empty, so to wake up to the sound of the gutters gurgling was a joy.

Finding the first grape hyacinth in blossom today.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Still raining - there is water in the stream next door and the little spring in the middle of the meadow has reappeared for the first time since early last summer
