    Help please!
I have purchased some primrose seed with the intention of growing plants to put in a dry wooded area (fruit trees) on my allotment. What should I expect, as the packet instructions are saying that germination can be infrequent and that sometimes cold storage will aid this. I have never sown these before.
    Any advice welcome !

Hiya, I'm planning to grow some primulas next year too. I'll be looking to start the seed off in late January.

Here's a straightforward guide I've found: Sowing primula seeds

That's a good link, Martin. Thanks.
I have some primula seeds too so I'll join you both in a late Jan sow-fest

In a moment of madness I bought some Auricula seeds too. The same sowing regime should work, although this link is a variation on the theme: A GUIDE TO GROWING AURICULAS FROM SEED
