    Nicos and bramble were leaning, elbows on windowsill,mugs of tea in hand ,looking across the road at the Gardeners Rest.

    " I see rary is dressed up in that lovely new shirt...I wonder if he's about to go somewhere special for the day?" said nicos taking a sup of hot tea...
    " I thought he was supposed to be giving a final lick of paint to the front door of the GR for the grand opening tonight?...but hang on...is that a paintbrush I see in his hand?"

    "Hmmm...replied bramble watching the raindrops racing down the window pane......I hope this rain packs in soon, I've chosen a fancy dress costume for tonight's party made of paper!

    Trying to fish out half a chocolate hob nob from her tea , Nicos........

      .... wondered why on Earth Bramble was going to wear a dress made from loo rolls. Not the most practical thing to wear but bound to make quite the entrance at the fancy dress party.

      Marie was having trouble avoiding some pesky seagulls as she got in her shiny black bat mobile to make her way to the Gardeners Rest. No way was anyone going to upstage her amazing fancy dress costume he he he ...

      She wondered what everyone else was up to ....
      LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

        Strangely enough Marie was up to her eyes in empty toilet rolls!
        She'd been saving a few for the Spring sowing but had decided to try and make her mom a papier mâché frog for Xmas ...and she'd become rather carried away....

              ..... making it very hard to see as she was driving. Not surprising then that she had a little accident on the way and her bat mobile bumped into the car of another old friend on the way. Luckily the toilet rolls prevented much damage being done. But who was it knocking on the window ? ....

                              So VC walked around the garden centre instead........walked around the corner and found bags of reduced seeds. She checked no-one was looking and grabbed them all and dashed to the checkout. Marie rang the bill up on the checkout annoyed that she did not see the bargain herself.
                              I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them
