  • Introduction

    Morning All,
I have been a member of a Council owned allotment, only 2 minutes walk from where I live, for about 15 years. I rent 18 perch, spread between 4 plots, 3 perch being mostly fruit trees and bushes,10 perch seasonal veg and 5 perch dedicated to chickens (only taken tenancy of this since 1st of November this year and waiting patiently until next spring to get hens). At our AGM in October I became a member of the site Committee which I am really enthusiastic about. There are quite a few issues to be ironed out but fingers crossed with a new Secretary appointed, who is also very enthusiastic, and other new members joining along side me we can look forward to positive outcomes for next year.
Is there any specific threads about Allotment Committees on here because I am interested how other Committee run their sites and I am hoping to learn from others.

Hello LL & welcome to the vine, there is a section on Allotment advice which may have some info whilst you wait for a personal response:

What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?

Croeso. There are a few South Walians on the forum!
If you've had your plot for 15 years, you'll have a good idea about any issues there may be. Are you Council run or self managed?
