  • potting up raspberry canes

    hi all got some polka raspberry canes the last ones I got only 1 out of 6 survived so I'm thinking of potting them up first before I plant them on my plot is this a good idea

    I grow Glen Ample raspberries in pots and they did very well.

      They should be fine straight in the ground, where did you get them from and what's your soil like?

          got them from T/M soil on plot good only one from first batch survived T/M replaced them after much email swapping

              I've had problems with the quality of their plants before and their customer service is terrible so I think that could be your problem.

                    I bought one cane each of three varieties from Marshalls - they were due on 6th November and are yet to materialise. Now you've worried me that I only have one shot for each of them and I could end up with all 3 dead! :O

                      Hi Jay22, sorry for late response, I only get to log in here about once a week ! I don't have any 35/40 ltr pots right now. I do have several 20ltr ones so could get them started in that I suppose but will order some 40 ltr ones as soon as I have some spare cash ha ha.
