Has anyone taken out insurance for petrol driven tools on their allotment ? We will be purchasing hedgecutters, strimmers, lawnmowers, rotavaters etc.

Provided they are securely housed, getting cover shouldn't be a problem. Just get quotes from a few companies. Make sure you include NFU -

My aunties site fees give her membership to the allotment society. They are meant to do decent insurance especially for allotments holders. Wouldn't use general insurers as they might not have the correct policies for you.sigpicComment
