  • Colouring Competition

As half term and the shorter days are upon us, the Mods have decided to hold a little colouring competition for our grapettes.

    The rules are simple:

Any member who has made 50 posts or more can get their, children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren or even the neighbours children to enter.

    There are 3 age groups:
    under 6
    7 to 10
    11 to 14

All pictures must be gardening related and this can include Halloween and Bonfire Night. All entries must include the age of the entrant. The winner from each age group will win a Mod prize.

The competition is open now and will close on the 9 November. All entries should be posted to this thread.

I'll see if I can tear my step-daughter away from her iPad
What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?

                Artist - small pumpkin
                Age - 43

Well if the little one don't want to win prizes, I'll have them I'm not proud
If nothing else it might get the ball rolling, when they see how bad my effort is

                    Hungry Hedgehog

Hi, this is William M entry. He is 5 years old.

As you can see it is hedgehog picture. He has had trouble sticking his leaves down so had to resort to flour glue.

What great pictures so far - adorable hedgehog. I'll try to get my daughter to do one before closing date. She is more into magic tricks, gross experiments and doctor who but will see
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

                            Mummy in Garden

This is Amy's drawing of me in the garden. Apparently I am standing on a stool to water because I am so small (I don't really stand on a stool btw!) The animals are saying "I love you mummy" which was a sweet addition.

                            She is 8.

Edited to attach what she'd drawn on the back - that is a picture of herself with similar hairstyle!
