  • Anemone 'de Caen' query

Please move if this is in the wrong place

I bought some Anemone 'de Caen' about a month ago and planted them up in pots as I ran out of room planting other stuff. Its the first time I have wanted to grow them so they are new to me, anyway Ive been checking them over the past few weeks and as they have been growing I have been thinking to myself that they look so much like a tomato plant. So I left them for a while and now they are a good 6" for some reason I thought Id give em a sniff (dunno why I didnt do this in the first place) to find out that they may well be tomato plants? I used John innes which is meant to be the best compost, I only sown that corm in that pot so what is going on? Any ideas? Ive got about 20 of them and no Anemone 'de Caen'?

    Thanks guys

I've moved this to "Flower Mill" but, if it turns out they're tomatoes, I'll move it back to Vegging out!!
Any photos? If you planted corms, they can't have been tomato seeds

Anemone de Caen are spring flowers and start to produce their frilly leaves on the spring. The tomato plants are seeds that were in the compost. Be patient and they will grow.

If you don't want them, take them out.

They definitely look like anemones, especially the ones in the second picture.

Do you think? I dunno what they are meant to look like as this is the first year Ive grew them, the ones I planted in the ground are not showing. Just these in the pots..
