Did you find any? I am after some perennial kale this year. If anyone has some around North Somerset that would be great and I can offer a swap. But happy to pay postage for a cutting.

Sadly all the varieties seem to be out of stock at Pennards. I expect if I did plant some they would all be eaten by caterpillars like most of the rest of my Kale!

I can't remember whether mine is Daubertons or Taunton Dene

. Its a cutting I scrounged off Jay-el in the Autumn but is only 100mm tall in a pot in the summerhouse.

Once it starts growing I'll maybe manage to get a few more cutting off it.

I gave it a drop of Comfrey tea the other day and it seems to have perked up a bit.

As has already been mentioned pennard plants is not far away and they are probably out of stock as it is early in the year it would be worth dropping them an e-mail. If you stick around and join in on the vine I am sure peeps will soon help you out. Unfortunately there are a lot of peeps that spoil things by taking and scarpering, which is a shame as everyone is really lovely on here.

Hi I got mine ( Daubenton Kale) from this company last year but I had to put my name on a waiting list - it came eventually. They look as tho they have no stock now so waiting list it might have to be.

I bought some from Pennard, and they were going great guns, but I didn't have a permanent spot for them and they got potbound. I eventually planted them out at the end of the season, but now they just look like sorry 6" stalks.

If anyone else is desperate you can get them from here Chou et kale ancien : Brassica - Plant ancien l�gume - Aromatiques.fr (you might need to translate the page) It is where mine came from 4 years ago and they were lovely healthy plants and were quick too, better than most English suppliers I have dealt with.
