    Looks like it's an old strawberry variety?

    Apparently some Waitrose shops are selling them...

      The bubble berries are a form of fragaria moschata ( musk strawberry ) or hautboy strawberry, I grow around 8-10 different types I really like them real intense flavour for some reason they never seem to have become popular they have an unusuall chromosome count compared to other strawberries so difficult to cross there flavour into other types, much stronger growing the fragaria vesca the wild/ alpine types but a little less robust than ordinary strawberry, sometime pollination
      Is a problem with seperate male and female plants in some types of moschata, stew
