    This has appeared in a pot in the garden...is it some sort of poppy?

        I'd leave it too. Its probably one of the blowsy opium poppies

            Is that a good idea? Mother in law has the yellow ones and they appear everywhere...literally hundreds of them!

              Before the seed pod ripens and splits tie a bag round it to catch all the seed then tip them all into a new pot for next year.

              Next year you'll need 100s of bags.
