  • Courgette Feeding - Potted

    Hi All

I have courgettes down the allotment, and a couple in pots at home. Was just wondering what people are feeding their potted courgette plants with.

I've picked about half a dozen from one plant so far, and there are three set on the plant, but they are looking a little weak/thin on the end which is normally larger.

Thank you for your help in advance

I don't normally feed mine, but I do start with gro-bag compost which is quite high in feed. If you think they are looking in need, perhaps a bit of tomato food wouldn't go amiss.

What ever your growing medium in containers it will lose it's vitality so feeding will improve you crop.

Because courgettes are greedy plants and of course every time you water you rinse the growing medium I like to feed with tomorite, water, feed and so on.

a little tomato feed just to top up, only in the pots
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them
