  • PSB and French Bean problems?

Please could someone help me with a couple of little problems?

Today my PSB was covered in little black and grey flies. They didn't appear to be doing anything, and weren't clustered on stems as I'd expect blackfly to do. Anything to worry about?

Leaves on the dwarf french beans seem to be suffering... is this because there was a 3degree night temp a couple of weeks ago? The new leaves coming through seem okay...

    Thanks!

Squidge the aphids or spray. The beans will be fine

Are they actually aphids, then? I won't be able to catch them to squish, they fly up in a cloud if you brush them, and I don't want to spray if I can avoid it (more to do with 4yo than environment if I'm honest!)

Put my worry hat on when I read that, then took a breath and Google'd "do aphids carry disease" some interesting reading
