  • question about saving WSB seeds

I let my plants go to seed, they flowered ages ago and now are just sat waiting for me, the plant is still a little green and the seeds in the pods are green. When doing a youtube search, people say you are meant to allow the seeds to fully dry on the plant.
Well, i now need the space and will want to plant the seeds soon. Is it ok, that i open the pods and let the seeds dry out on a plate. or is there more maturity time needed in the pods whilst the plant in in the ground

Thanks for any help and advice

        White sprouting broccoli
Lisa, if the seeds are still green they need to ripen longer. Can you dig up the plant and heel it in somewhere while the seed pods dry off? If not, you could try cutting off the flowering stalks and hanging them up to dry. Don't open the pods until they're dry and crispy.

Are there any other brassicas flowering nearby? If so you may have something entirely different next year

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
