Hello, would appreciate some advice please. All new to gardening with my two little ones and planted some courgette seeds that were growing quite well in our conservatory but then got some bad advice to plant them out after only 2 days of hardening out. Now the leaves are all turning brown from the edges in! Is there any way to rescue them or should we give up on these ones and plant new seeds? Grateful for your advice in advance. Many thanks!

Yes two days is rather rapid hardening off! Can you provide any protection for them? Perhaps the top half of a 2 litre, or bigger, plastic bottle. Or a little fence or tent of fleece around them. Without knowing your location I can't comment on whether it is cold which is the problem or wind. If they don't pick up soon I'd start again as sometimes when plants are chilled they go into a permanent sulk.Comment

Like BB says it will be this darn wind we have been getting, mine are still in the green house.
Keep them sheltered, with an eye out for new growth, but if it were me I would set more seed just to be safe.Potty by name Potty by nature.

Until the weather warms up - I'd keep them covered 24/7.
Forecast for here shows at least another week of unseasonably cold weather - I've put mine in bigger pots, rather than risk them outside.Comment

I would go for all the time, you could push four (or more) sticks/canes in the ground & wrap fleece around them to form an open topped wind break, that way they are protected from wind but still get full sunshine
