  • Limited space and money

I'd really love a greenhouse but we don't have the space/money for one
I do have a plastic 4 tier mini greenhouse which did me fine this year so far but I've got the gardening bug and I'm going to need more space to start seeds off.

I've got plenty of space for more tiered mini greenhouses, I've seen the walk in ones but they look like they waste a lot of space with the walk in bit lol

Would I manage ok by having a few extra tiered mini ones? There is plenty of places I can anchor them to.
Where would be best to get them - I've seen them in B&Q and Wilkos (can't remember where I got my original one from!)

I have a walk in greenhouse and they are ok if you can anchor them down good and proper. Mine flipped this year and I have lost my seedlings and various other plants.
The walk ins are ok what I did last year was have things hanging down off the top pole so not much space is lost.
I know a lot of Vine users use Wilkos and you can get a lot of good things from there especially at the end of the season.
I am saving up for a greenhouse this year for the allotment. We live in rented and I would be grudge leaving a greenhouse here when we leave.
Oh just remembered the little mini greenhouses are ok but if it gets really hot you have to be careful your stuff in there doesn't fry also the covers can go really brittle.

My current one is anchored to the workshop wall and isn't going anywhere, believe me I've made sure lol
I'd be allowed to put a Greenhouse in our garden and have an Idea of where it could go but in the words of Simply Red "Moneys too tight to mention" at the moment, I supposes I can put together a savings pot for one though :-)

Try Freecycle/Freegle/Gumtree for a GH. I have 5 GHs and have bought only one of them

B&Q are often selling off old stock at silly prices..................http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...5-a_81369.html

Thanks for the suggestions people - I decided to try my luck on Facebook and put a status up asking if anyone was getting rid of a green house on the off chance and a girl I used to go to school with said she was! I need to chat to her properly and work out a weekend when I can get my Dads help but it looks like I might have bagged myself a freebie :-D

Free is definitely my favourite price.

Especially if it is followed by the words Beer or Food

Skips, freecycle and ebay are all good for free/cheap stuff. I have kitted out a lot of my plot from there - daleks, water butts, etc.

Well done on getting a free greenhouse, I paid for both mine, though am now going to try and get shot of one of them.

Try to take pics of greenhouse as you dismantle it - that way you have something to refer to as you reassemble it
What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?
