  • Echinacea - When to prick out

I've got these Echinaceas in a tub in various stages of development and am thinking that some of the bigger ones are ready to prick out and pot on.

Can anyone give me some advice on what to do??

    TIA

Seedlings are generally pricked out when they have a set of true leaves, which yours definitely have. They look quite big so I'd be tempted to pot them into 3 or 3 1/2" pots. I think they like a free draining soil so perhaps add a bit of grit or perlite to your potting compost.

      Thanks for that Wendy.

I managed to grow 4 from seed last year,

They don't like being over watered when in pots, and I've found capillary watering to be the best.
