  • Raspberry Ruby Beauty (Dwarf Variety)

Popped into my local B&Q earlier and seen these fuly established plants in 3 litre pots. Asked a staff member about them and it's the first year they have ever seen them, anyone tried these before? I never usually buy plants but might make an exception on this occasion, although the £13 price tag is quite hefty, it's still £6 cheap than from T&M.

I had considered these myself as you can use Tescos clubcard boost to just pay the packaging, I believe its pretty new everything Ive seen seems to think that there new this year. Id also love to hear if anyone has any feedback on them though.

I bought some of these this year - healthy little plants, but obviously no feedback yet on the cropping potential!

        Raspberry Ruby Beauty

I have just ordered 3 plants ready for next season.

Whilst I know this patio raspberry is fairly new I wondered if anyone had grown it and if they had any advice.

        Cheers Potty

MiL has a couple Potty, not aware she has had any issues apart from it does get quite tall for a dwarf/patio variety.

Thanks, They say about 3ft which I have allowed for any taller may be a problem in one spot.

Dispatched from Marshalls on Thursday arrived this morning. Three nice green, healthy looking plants in 9cm pots with good root formation. Well packaged so no damage, already in their permanent containers.

I know that this is an older thread but I was doing a search on Ruby Beauty to see what folks think of them

I got 5 plants last year from T&M via a tesco clubcard offer, just small plants in 9cm pots, I didnt get any fruit but the plants seem quite vigorous and grew quite well.

This is them at the moment, at the front in 30l pots, hopefully get some good fruit this year.

They look really good! I'm wishing I'd ordered them instead of T&M's hanging basket blackberry now!

                          Just to update

Not getting a massive amount of berries but the ones I have picked are very large and taste great.

                          hopefully more next year

I got a free one this year from T&M through the mag or it was on discount. Anyway mine is just growing leaves and no fruit so I do not know if I have done anything wrong or do I have to wait until next year?

Mine is just the same as this and is still tiny (less than 10") it's not flowered either. I had put it down to the fact it was just getting established.
