    Hi All,

My first post in the flower mill! I'd be interested in your advice...

I have a young Passion flower, the usual cerulea variety, as I love the flowers. I bought it without really thinking where I would put it. At the moment it's in a pot in my south facing bathroom and has grown about two metres in the past two months or so!

Obviously, I want to put it outside at some point but when should I do this? I was hoping to grow it along the dividing fence down on my plot but we have a very windy and exposed beach- side site which I've read is not ideal. (Too windy to grow french beans). I could also put it in my back yard but it's walled and gets very little sunlight most of the year which, again, is not ideal. (Too shady to grow tomatoes).

So which siting do you think has the best chance of (limited) success?
    Thanks in advance.

The space between our house and next door is probably the windiest place on this earth! I have a small patch that I've planted with alpine plants. On the fence dividing us I put two Passion flowers and a clematis. The clematis has been moved as, after two years and three leaves it really was suffering. The Passion flowers have romped their way to the top of the fence and I am now training them along it with bits of string and trellis. It has really been windy and they have lost a lot of their bottom leaves. I don't know if this is normal but they are going great guns. So I thought I'd train them down over their bare bits and then back up again! So they can do wind, my two were from the pound shop and so they aren't fancy ones. I'd give it a go if I were you, you can always move it if it doesn't suit
You may say I'm a dreamer... But I'm not the only one...

I'm an official nutter - an official 'cropper' of a nutter! I am sooooo pleased to be a cropper! Hurrah!
