  • broad bean stems

Hi, I have been growing a few aquadulce broad beans in pots since December and the stems are very floppy. Is this normal please? I have staked them today but wonder if they need some sort of feeding .

Floppy as in the plants are just falling over/too top heavy or floppy because the stems themselves are soft?
They may need feeding or planting out depending on the size of the pot and the number of the plants in the pot.
Are they inside or out and whereabouts are you?
    Do you have a picture?
Sorry, I've just bombarded you with more questions!!

Many thanks, reading your reply made me realise they are probably overcrowded, so I have planted half in another large pot, fed them with chicken manure and am hoping they pick up. There are now three in each pot.

They are outside and the stems are soft and they are bent right over. I can only grow veg in containers due to disability. I am in Somerset, England.
