  • Signatures...

Following on from Ancee's (who I now know is called Nancy) thread about how you got your vine name, would anyone care to share their story behind their signatures?

I'll start as I've just changed mine tonight.

If nothing ever changed there'd be no butterflies - I need to remind myself that change isn't always a bad thing and sometimes life needs to change in order to move forward.

The poem by Robert Frost I've loved ever since the first time I read it when I was in high school. It also reminds me of my granda, he was gold and couldn't stay, he passed away shortly before my 6th birthday and I still miss him dearly.

Remember it's just a bad day, not a bad life 😁

For this purpose have I come to this hour ...
Pain is still pain, suffering is still suffering, regardless of whoever, or whatever, is the victim.
    Everything is worthy of kindness.

I'm dyslexic and all extraneous "stuff" on the page makes it difficult / slower for me to assimilate the actual content, so I have Signatures, Avatars, all adverts - in particular anything that moves - turned off. So I have no idea what pearls of wisdom anyone has, sorry!

I'ver been 'accused' of being both of my characters on here several times in the past following some in depth 'detective' work ....research, spammers etc....

        Might as well embrace it!

Mine was something on my mind a few years ago but I never change it. To be honest I don't read them on purpose, only really by accident when they look like they're part of a post. I know I can be an old grump but wish people would keep them reasonably short as some of them are longer than the average post .

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

It always sounds very dubious to me so it's more of a frown than a smile.
