  • Grass protection grid

We are thinking about putting in grass protection grid round our alottments due to the mess caused by barrows etc. in wet periods. We are only thinking about a narrow strip say 2ft wide down the middle of the paths and leaving the rest grass. Has anyone used this and can recommend a manufacturer, there seems to be lots available.

I have used the plastic honeycomb in areas where there is a lot of traffic and turns to a quagmire in the winter. It has worked well but takes quite a lot of work to put it in.

My supplier is in France which is where I live. However if you Google something like Honecombe grass stabilizer you should be able to find a supplier. The other thing you could do is ask at the local Garden Centre but they will probably be more expensive.
