    What happened today at 9.26am?

    Just wondered how many of you know what was special about today at 9.26am?
    Don't want you to miss it as it won't happen again for 100 years.

        The end of the world! The four horsemen went rampaging throughout the land. Civilisation came to an end, the messiah made her second coming and the sun went out (who forgot to pay the bill?).

          It's pi day 3.1415 and today (think American date system) it was 3.1415 and at 9.26 and so many seconds it continued the sequence 3.1415926 etc. It is also Albert Einstein's' birthday. Should I be embrarassed to know these facts?

                The sun's still on..... I found a shilling down the back of the sofa and put it in the slot

                      As a pedant, I'd like to point out that Pi day was being celebrated prematurely.

                      As we all know, Pi is actually 3.14159265358979... so after applying normal rounding the correct time for celebration was actually at 9.27am.
