Ok, I need to pick your brains. I've been trying to find out if there are writing groups for budding young writers. I've come across writing squad which is a national scheme funded by the government for children aged 12-18 but, can't seem to find anything for younger writers.
My daughter isn't quite 10 yet and has caught the bug with the 500 words challenge which Radio 2 have been doing for the last 5 years in conjunction with the Hay Festival. With over 100,000 entrants to this competition I can't be the only one trying to find something to nurture her enthusiasm.
So if you are aware of any groups which cater for this age group I'd really appreciate some assistance. I've contact Literature Wales and the Hay Festival Direct, aswell as speaking with our local library and her school. As yet I've not found anything but, you lovely peeps might know something I don't...
