Another icon of my childhood gone. I so wanted those ears. I shall continue to watch ST Voyager in his memory.

      Happy memories of childhood days.

A fine actor and by all accounts a very lovely man.

That was really sad to hear.
I called my first horse Spock after him

Such sad news. I loved him in Star Trek as Mr Spock. My mom would never let me watch Star Trek as "we" didn't watch programmes like that. So I used to watch it at my nans house instead.

He'll be sadly missed, Star Trek was the first TV program I actually stayed in to watch as a teenager.

I loved Star Trek - still do. Loved Sci-Fi, still do. He was so wonderfully 'exotic', the first sexy 'alien'.

I started to watch Fringe solely because he was in it.

It's a generational thing in our house (Star Trek was one of the highlights of the week for me when I was a kid). Here's my daughter's tribute to one of her favourite characters.

Sad he seemed a truly lovely man as well as a great actor.
I wanted the ears too, Lumpy. You can buy some online if you want to wear them around the plot. Be prepared for some funny looks though!

Maybe Spocks immortal catch phrase of 'Live Long And Prosper' should become the GYO slogan. I can imagine myself talking to the veggies with my ears on.

The ears are really versatile - you can do Nosferatu in them if you also buy the cap to make you bald.
