Well looks like there's now scientific evidence about the benefits of having a "disco" in your greenhouse - so all the Vine party animals have another excuse! (Please don't punish me for reading the Daily Mail - it's my lunch time brain switch off!)!

Although from the comments posted under the article, I'm not sure most people are thinking about the benefits of fruit/veg production!

So the scientists have worked out what some home growers have been doing for ages. But with a far higher budget.

Why grow in a greenhouse when you're supplying the ligt? Surely if it's going to cut down on food miles they could have used an empty warehouse next to the shops.

Or the windowless basement of a victorian house which is what a lot of people did where I used to live.

I don't think they were forcing rhubarb though.
