  • Melivda 103621

Hi! I'm new on here and was working on my allotment today when in one of the greenhouses I found some seeds unopened with Melivda 103621 printed on the outside, and was just wondering if anyone knows what they are. Or am I going to grow some just to find out what they are?

    Thank you Ian

No idea, but it'll be fun to find out what they are.

Welcome to the vine Ian. I'm sure you'll find lots of useful posts on here from people more experienced than I am

Hello Ian & welcome to the jungle. As I'm sure you're aware, goggle is throwing nothing up for your seeds so guess you're gonna have to sow some & see.

Hi Ian - welcome to the vine.

My guess is that 'Melivda' is a composite name - so it could be 'melon, ivory something' - or something like that. Or a flower, in which case I haven't a clue.

What do the seeds look like?

Melivda is being thrown up as a Slovakian word so maybe Zelenina may be able to shed some light.

Sounds like a Czech/Polish or summat seed name - no idea what though.

              Welcome to the Forum Ian

The seeds look like very small grey grit a few thousand by the look of it.

Hi, Ian, is there a picture or any instructions on the packet to give us a bit of a clue?

If you split the letters to give Me Liv Da, could it be Mesembryanthemum, Livingstone Daisy?

You'd better check with VC, but I think that's an obscure and obsolete Welsh greeting

I'll go a long with Livingstone daisy's, I can vaguely remember I was seeing how good a crop you get from a packet of Aldi seeds and Mr Fothergaills seeds .
Can't remember the results now .........Looks like I'll have to do the test again
