    VSP Pot Luck Spring Clean

    The VSP contains a lot of duplicate packets of seeds. Most of them are ordinary varieties like Moneymaker tomatoes, Basil, Californian Wonder peppers. The time has come for a spring clean so I'm offering them back to members of the Grapevine.

    There are a few conditions attached :-

    1. You must have been a member of the Forum for THREE months and have made 50 or more posts during those THREE months;

    2. You must post on this thread your reason for wanting the seeds and what you intend to do with them (eg grow them in a community garden, donate to a school, you're broke...); No PMs !!

    3. You will need to send me TWO Large letter stamps and a Return address label/envelope. Seeds will only be sent to UK addresses;

    4. The seeds will be randomly selected by me and may be past their "Sow Before" date. There are no guarantees of viability ;

    5. All expressions of interest must be made by 28th February when I will select the lucky Grapes;

    6. If you receive seeds from this clear-out, you cannot swap them back into the VSP for other seeds I'll know who has had what, so don't even think about it!!

    7. If you ask for seeds and are offered some, please follow it through by sending the stamps. Otherwise, its too late to reallocate the seeds that have been set aside for you You know who you are

    Here's last year's http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...4-a_77502.html

      Not really NVG.
      The Viability testing "jobs" are for old but unusual seeds that I would like someone to grow and save seeds, to return to the VSP.

      The Spring Clean is to clear out of the VSP those seeds where there are multiple packets. There aren't many unusual seeds but they are good basic seeds, especially for someone just starting growing or who would like to help a local gardening charity.
      The Potluck selection would probably have a couple of tomatoes, beetroot, carrot, peppers, turnips, kale or broccoli, a herb or two. depends on how many people want some. I don't need seeds saved from these. just want someone to grow them instead of hanging around in the VSP box.

        So in a nuttyshell, the spring clean is to make room for the viability jobbies.................

                Yes, NVG, but there's doesn't seem much interest. I'm just sorting out the Tomatoes for Viability testing and will send you some Black Cherry toms.
                Did the Chilli seeds turn up?

                  Nope no sign at all. Went to post office sorting office but no joy. I am interested in the clean out. Do you need any stamps or an envelope off me?

                        If I can remember to get some stamps from the post office I will have some - I think we are going to do a seed swap in March so would be nice to have some extras for that.

                        (I might have some downstairs but might not)
