  • Summers a coming, well eventually.

Went to Greenhouse to assemble benches ready for propagator and an early start.
Didn't manage that as I decided to dig some beds whilst weather good.
Also managed to get to plastic frame into position for some early lettuce.
More digging needed, but things are progressing.

Also got my greenhouse radio link up.
It transmits temperature and light level to house over radio.
Guess what, in the morning the light level increases and then decrease over night !
    Note: I am a geek !

    1) Anyone else been digging.
    2) Anyone else with Geeky tendencies, electricals in shed or similar projects.

      Jimmy,

I do hope that you are logging all that daya so you can do some data analysis over the coming years.

How sensitive is the light sensor? Do you know the lowest light level it senses and at what light level it maxes out?

All you need to do now is to connect them to a microcontroller with a couple of motors so you can get it to roll down the sun shades automatically when to hot or bright, open the vents and give extra water on hot days.

Next you need a gizmo to desucker and tie up your toms and you're hardly ever going to need to go in the greenhouse often

What are you using to do the light levels?

It uses some odd photo resistor from Maplin that I had in my box of bits.
It's a one way transmission so can't reply with control.
Suppose the transmitting micro could do some control.
But then you are into power supplies actuators etc.

I have a very good controller, it's called the wife.
If I see it's too hot I email her to open the door.
