  • Under Orders

Been told by the OH the last remaining greenhouse in the garden has to go.....bit of a dilemma really as I would rather like to keep it but only allowed one on the plot. Already have the frame for a 6 x6 in the shed.

Bit miffed to be honest but in the immortal words of Potty and Rumpole of the Bailey...SWMBO has spoken. Probably get £50 for it on fleabay but dont know anyone who might want a fully glazed 8 x 6 greenhouse and base.

    Mods

just realised this is in the wrong section.....well I think it is?

Is there a size restriction on the allotment GH? Just wondered if you could join two together or use the frame as a fruit/brassica cage with netting

Depends really whether your under holy orders, wholly orders or just plain holey orders. I can sometimes get away with the last type.

Why on earth does she want you to get rid of it? Maybe you could grow something in it that she really likes?

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Is there a very good reason for,it HAS to go,how about the plea bargaining,..........it cuts down the time spent at home,if you only got the lottie 1,....you can grow more stuff with the home 1 ext,.....and how much does she like the stuff you have been growing, open up nagotiations, and best of luck,

How about growing her favourite flowers in or let her use it for her own things. If it has her things in then she might let you keep it. A bit of reverse psychology Use it on OH and kids all the time

The plan had always been that once I retired the garden would be given over to lawn for the grandkids to enjoy. I always had the greenhouses as I never had that much time for the plot. At Christmas we heard GC number 3 was on the way so that was the signal for the OH to clamp down

Little ones love to grow things, get them interested in growing and give them a little section for their growing challenge

Tell her I have my Husband's five-sheds-and-a-lean-to to put up with.

What makes it worse for me, is that the lean-to (repair shed) is actually my ruddy poly-tunnel frame with a gazebo cover over it!
