    Plant ID please?



    Could anyone help with this one please? It's in a part of the garden that was a flowerbed so I don't know if it's there on purpose or not! It flowered a gorgeous purple a few months ago but it's everywhere and seems to have long roots that spread all over the place...

    I have a damson tree (I think!) in this bed so don't want too much weedy competition there...

      Aaargh - don't you hate it when people don't use the search function before asking a question? I should have tried "purple spurgy flowery weedy thing"

      Thank you NorfolkGrey! Was is easy to remove? I might try some in my "wildflower" ("I've given up the battle with bluebells") area...

        I only had a few. I killed one with weedkiller, pulled one (and it hasn't returned) and I am nurturing the other but I have noticed some seedlings coming up in my lawn already.
