back in 2006 we went to france on a touring holiday in the September, we were coming back on the ferry from Cherbourg and as we were parked up in their car park I noticed that the palm trees were full of seeds, so I got several handfuls and propagated 3 when we got home, one didn't come to much but the other two now have 3ft fronds growing from a (at present) low crown, but they have survived 2 brutal winters of -16 below for weeks on end and just keep growing, so in years to come they will grow to 8-10ft plants like their mother........
