    Hi, can anyone identify thistriffid that has appeared on my plot?

        Looks rather thistle -ish to me. Can't really see the leaves from your photo. Do you have any from a different angle?

              Don't worry about more photos, its a teasel
              Its a fascinating plant, worth keeping as birds love it

                We've got a few teasels in our garden I relocate those that grow in the veg beds but the rest are left for the birds, Gold finches love them.
                Location....East Midlands.

                  When our daughter was Brownie age I brought home teasels to make hedgehogs (three glued on beads for a face and lavender bag bodies like these). Some seeds escaped into the garden and 20 years later we still have teasels.

                    Mr Bones I think we've still got one of those hedgehogs living in a dolls house.
