Hi peeps,i have what i think are a few surviving sweet sensatation i grew from seed aprox 3 years ago,i thought that they would throw long runners out as the other types do,but no,just the clumps getting bigger and smaller fruit,on having a close look at the base of them, they appear to have very small runner bit, thats rooted, literaly next to the mother plant,i have gogled to no luck,as to what to do for the best, bareing in mind discarding after 3 years,am thinking on digging up,and planting up the outside of the bunch into large pots, they still got healthy green growth, and blueberry size fruits, not worth the bother, can anyone throw any light on it for me please,

What I would do as a compromise, bearing in mind the reason for changing every 3 years is virus infection, is force them next year. I'd pot up any healthy looking outside pieces and leave them outside until February as they need a cold spell before fruiting. Then put them in a greenhouse or cold frame to get an early crop. Having done this, probably the best thing to do after fruiting is to throw them away and start again with new plants from seed or certified virus free.
