  • How to stop foxes stalking me with calling cards!

.. will be planting Garlic cloves round the perimeter of all my beds as this is supposed to deter mammals. I will only know next year if this works.
I am very frustrated as every time I do something in the garden, there will DEFINITELY be poo near where I pottered the following day. It could be foxes' judging from the healthy sizes of them. How could I stop these unwelcome calling cards please? I don't growing garlic will help!

People say human urine deters them - if you are in short supply, BigMally on here will be able to sort you out.

Yes, I have plenty spare but you'll need a long hose pipe......................

Oh and fox poo often has a blue grey tinge and pointed on one end. Not always the case as it depends on diet.

Don't forget, foxes are like dogs and are creatures of habit. Find where they are coming on to your land and block off the run.

Holly or bramble cutting laid around can sometimes deter them.

From page 41 of the current GYO magazine ..

Try "Scoot" . This works by mimicking the scent of a fox, which will put the animals off, as they will think it is already another fox's territory.

Also suggested is a look at this site ... Foxagon | Non Lethal Fox Management / Control

i used to know a game keeper who always piddled round any pheasants nest he found to deter foxes.

That's my excuse for piddling around the hen coop!

Ideally I should piddle on the compost heap but that's in full view and I would get locked up!
