  • Hello from Hampshire

Hi. We have recently taken over a plot in reasonably good condition and have been concentrating on clearing as much as we can. We are on a very steep learning curve, never having grown much before as our garden is shady and generally looks after itself.
My husband is now semi-retired and it seemed like a good time to take on a project together.
I imagine I will be spending a lot of time on this forum over the winter! Looking forward to learning from you all.

Hello DD.........cracking name.............welcome to the jungle. The allotment will be so different to your garden in many ways. Enjoy it & a little & often is the rule of thumb. Don't overdo it.

Hello Droopy Drawers. I too really like your name, it was one of my mother's favourite terms of endearment/derision depending on how it was delivered/taken.

Just seeing that made me smile.

I hope you enjoy it here, it's a great forum with some colourful characters
