  • chinese artichoke info please?

    Hi, Is there anyone who has managed to get a decent crop of chinese artichokes ever? If so how did you do it?

    I have just dug some up and I always knew I wouldn't get masses but I don't even feel there is much point even cooking them there is that few.

    I grow Jerusalem Artichokes and its far too early to start digging em up. Cut the tops down to a couple of feet high and leave them to die back. If we get some nice frosts, that will help em die back.
    Wait until after Xmas, then carefully dig up one plant and see how they are doing.

      Thx arpoet, my jerrys are great as always, but I am sad to hear you say that you wait until after christmas It is a little early for them but there are that many as a rule it doesn't harm. However, those coupled with sprouts on christmas day - just make sure the relatives aren't staying over

        I planted a couple of Chinese Artichokes a couple of years ago. I have no idea where they are now
